YOU ARE LOVED

 

“But as soon as this thy son was come, which hath devoured thy living with harlots, thou hast killed for him the fatted calf.”

(Luke 15: 30)

When the elder brother heard that the father killed a fatted calf upon the return of the prodigal son, he didn't understand that it was an act of love.

The father gave much, not because the prodigal son deserved it, but because he loved the prodigal son despite his prodigality. What he gave was an expression of love.

Friend, God will give you more than you deserve as an expression of His love for you; He won’t give because you are worthy; He will give because He loves you. God will bring you miracles and favours you feel you don’t deserve; God will make your life more beautiful because of His unconditional love for you; what God is about to give you will come through love, not worthiness.

The ‘elder brothers’ of this world might see you as being unworthy of the next level that God is bringing to you, but God will bring it. Some might think you are too small for the big things coming your way, but God Himself will keep bigger things coming, not because you deserve it but because He loves you.

The father did not seek the permission of the elder brother before killing the fatted calf for the prodigal son. He did it before the elder brother could complain. God does not need the permission of your haters to bless or raise you; He will bring you the portion He ordained for you while they whine and complain.

The father did not cancel the party because the elder brother complained. Announce to every hater who feels you don’t deserve the party that God has brought your way: God won’t stop the party because there is a complainant. In fact, your party has just begun.
