From the information we gathered, we learnt that it was due to the dirty environment, the state government acclaimed that several warning as been sent to the users of the popular market to ensure that the place is kept clean at all time. furthermore, we the ministry affirm that the directive is from the state government.
Some of the market users claimed that the weekly Thursday cleaning is been carried out regularly that the ministry want to use the exercise to extort money from them. Most of the petty traders have moved out of the market and pitched another selling area outside the market since the gate of the market is locked.
The market are pleading that the government should please reopen the market in order to sustain their means of lively hood.
