According to The Four Burners Theory by David
Sedaris: family, friends, health and work are the four burners of a stove
(which is your life). In order to be successful you have to cut off one of your
burners. And in order to be really successful you have to cut off two.

counts is how you deal with what you get. Here are 7 empowering phrases to tell

You are Smarter Than You Think
Intelligence comes in all shapes and sizes. People
have widely varying skill sets and have very different education backgrounds
(formal or otherwise!). Because of this, it’s important to remember these
differences when interacting with others. For instance, if I were placed in a
room full of physicists, I would feel like the least intelligent person in the
room. However, put me in a room full of writers and I’d feel right at home. You
never want to sell yourself short or feel that you’re less intelligent than you
really are. That’s not beneficial for anyone.

How to Stop Surviving and Start Doing What You Love
Clock in. Clock out. Head home.
Repeat. Millions of people follow this same predictable pattern for years,
or even decades. And while there’s nothing wrong with punching a clock and
making an honest living, isn’t there more to life? Isn’t there something you’re
passionate about that you’d rather spend 40 hours of your week doing?
What Romance Is Like After 10 Years Of Marriage
Falling in love can be a wonderful experience. When
a relationship is new, it’s full of the kind of romance you see in movies,
complete with flowers, love letters, and promises to be together forever. It
isn’t always this way, though.
Maybe you’ve started to see a difference in your own
relationship. Maybe the way you used to be together has changed and you’re
wondering where the romance has gone. Don’t worry or stress, your relationship
isn’t burning out or ending. In fact, it’s getting stronger. The romance is
still there, it’s always there. The only thing that’s changed is the meaning.
Romance changes the longer you’re in a relationship.

How Do You See Life/Yourself
Life is how we live, and learn either in an easy way
or hard way. Life gives way for
experience, while experience gives way for learning. Life brings about so many
people living in it with different characters, style, attitude, mentality and
personality.
Some people in life are like a donkey, they carry
other peoples problem and make them theirs while they carry theirs with their
teeth and with inconvenience, they live a life to serve others and to solve the
problem of others without knowing how to go about theirs.
Marriage and Men
Ladies and Gentlemen, This
post is not for everybody. It's for people who wish to get understanding.
Read this, often times we misplace our
priorities when searching for a partner. I want to open our eyes to something
using the Bible.
When you take a look at the
first marriage in history, Gen 2:24... After God made man, he put him in the
Garden of Eden, the word "Eden" is an Hebrew word for "where God
dwells" so the first thing God gave man was "His Presence".
SOWING SEED
The reason I so like the verse in James is that it
brings us a picture of what we must do to bring the harvest of righteousness
about, we must sow the seeds of righteousness, seed by seed, so that our
harvest will be plentiful. We must sow seeds daily---weekly--for our whole
lives, that there will be remnants of His beauty, peace, redemption, everywhere
we go, every day that we live. If we sow peace and not anger in our home, there
will be a legacy of peace. If we sow anger, a legacy of anger and death. It is
a choice we make, every day, every hour, as to what we are sowing and what we
will reap.
BENEFIT OF FRIENDSHIP
Back in our primary school days, making new friends
seemed so easy, all we needed was a few shared hobbies and value on the
playground, and an unbreakable bond would be forged.
Friendship is no less important later in life, all
manner of difficult experiences and awkward changes are easier to bear with a
good friend.
Friendship has both its physical and emotional
benefit, let’s take a look at few of these benefits;

The Recipe For Happiness
The recipe for happiness is fairly easy, and one
that even those who are not good in the kitchen can put together and still
achieve some great results.
Simply begin with one large scoop of love for
yourself, add in a good measure of acceptance and goodwill, then sprinkle
generously with equanimity. Combine all the ingredients and place in your heart
until all the ingredients have been completely absorbed, then allow to
permanently rest in each breath.

8 signs your man will never ever stop loving you

loving you will show without you even realizing it.
5 Ways To Overcome Fear
Fear is a tough topic to cover as it motivates so
much of what we do on a day-to-day basis. Even when we’re not fully aware
of it, fear has its hooks in us and is dragging us down. Naturally we aren’t
talking about phobias or that adrenaline rush you get when you skid to a stop
right before rear-ending the car in front of you on the freeway.
Fear is
so much bigger than that. Fear drives almost all of our actions.
Why we do some things and why we avoid others, why we get close to some people
and push others away. In the process of life, fear is the single
biggest hindrance to goal achievement. It’s just such an important topic
to cover.
Without further adieu, here are some keys to
overcoming fear:
Why We Should Never Say Never
Though it may come off as slightly contradictory by
the looks of this headline, I think that we should try to refrain from using
the word “never” in our every day vocabulary. It has the simplest definition and
in and of itself is a pretty self-explanatory word (by definition, meaning “not
ever” or “not in any degree” as Merriam-Webster describes
it).
So, why should we never say never, you may ask?
9 Ways To Stop Overthinking
If you’re someone who spends a lot of time “in your
own head” mulling over things ad nauseam, you may think you’re alone.
You’re not… Not by a long shot!
Overthinking is a natural part of life for many of
us, even when we’re not aware we’re doing it. Research has
shown that overthinking is prevalent in young and middle aged adults,
with 73% of 25-35 year-olds identified as overthinkers. If
you find yourself spending an unreasonable amount of time thinking through
something, twisting it around in your head until you’ve seen it from every
angle and possibility, chances are you too are an overthinker.
There are very few benefits to being an overthinker.
Being logical (and therefore unemotional) about taking action has a lot of
merit and can have positive results, but there’s a difference between thinking
about something just enough – and thinking about something to the
point of analysis paralysis. The short of it is, you don’t want to
be an overthinker!
