Kanu Nwankwo, others celebrate Dr. Olakunle Churchill as he bags PHD Honours



Over the weekend, Amb. Olakunle Churchill added another feather to his already feathered cap as he bagged a Doctorate Honours from ISCG University in Republic of Benin.

The professional institution which majors in communication, ICT, Journalism and other related information courses on 28th of May held their biannual academic programme and awards to honour distinguished personalities who have over the years made a name in the profession and field of endeavours.

Power: NERC bans mass disconnection of consumers

The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission on Tuesday announced an outright ban on the mass disconnection of electricity consumers by power distribution companies across the country.
In May, the power distribution companies commenced what they described as the mass disconnection of chronic debtors, who allegedly owed them N94bn.

Flood ravages Ebonyi villages, farmers seek help


Farmlands in five communities in Ivo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State have been submerged by flood.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Mr. Emmanuel Anya, after Governor David Umahi visited the dam that caused the tragedy on Monday.

He said the governor had ordered   a comprehensive report of farms and cash crops destroyed by the flood.
