7 Best Stress-Fighting Foods

Image result for food
I send out a lot of info on my Twitter feed, from nutrition news to management tips. I get the most passionate reaction—and the most retweets—when I talk about stress. In fact, a friend of mine recently told me that stress was her biggest dietary villain. “I eat when I’m stressed,” she said.

To which I reacted, “Good!” You should eat when you’re stressed—it’s our bodies’ natural reaction to want to store calories to face whatever challenge is causing the stress in the first place. The key, however, is to eat what your body wants—the foods that actually counteract the effects of stress, and make you stronger (and leaner) when the tough times pass. So next time anxiety runs high, be sure to grab one of these seven stress-fighting foods.

VICTORY OVER WORRY

Consider this.

The great secret of living a happy, healthy, holy, and fruitful life is living without worry about the past and without anxiety concerning the future. It is an unnecessary distraction to worry or be anxious about tomorrow. There are men who waste their last hours on earth fretting over a morrow they never see! If we are preserved till the morrow, will it not bring with it tomorrow's God?

Why I fired my secretary

Last week was my birthday
and I didn't feel very well
waking up on that morning.

I went downstairs for breakfast
hoping my wife would be pleasant
and say, "Happy Birthday!", and
possibly have a small present for me

An Ethical Dilemma - What Would You Do?

SHE CALLED BOBBY 2

Victor started to withdraw from her and that was when the fights had started. They were fighting so much that a friend had noticed and referred them to his cousin, Catherine. Sola bought the idea and booked the appointment.

Victor opened his eyes. He looked at Sola who was still screaming and had started crying.
“Sola shut up.”
She did.

NIGERIA INDEPENDENCE

 1960
Nigeria declares independence from Britain in October. Three years later, it becomes a republic.

She called Bobby

When the couple came into the counselor’s office, she could immediately sense the tension strong and thick. She sighed on the inside. She had been practicing for just three months and she had come to realize that most problems people brought were those that they could easily solve themselves but then, if they solved it themselves, how would she make money?
“Good morning, Mr. and Mrs Edwards. My name is Catherine Ugochinyere. Please sit and feel free to call me Cathy.”

The couple sat and it was obvious that whatever the problem was, the woman was guilty, it was written all over her face and body.
“What exactly is the problem Mrs Edwards?”
“She is not Mrs. Edwards. She is not worthy of the title.” The man bellowed.
“I’m sorry I do not understand that...”Catherine looked at them confused.
“What I mean is that she is Miss, not a Mrs. She is not my wife.”
The woman kept her face down the whole time.
“Let us start from the beginning, how long have you two been together? And what is the definition of your relationship?”

Babafemi Ojudu: President Buhari’s one year in government

Today, May 29, 2016 marks President Muhammadu Buhari’s first year in office. It has indeed been an all-round exhilarating year, not only for the government but also for the generality of Nigerians. There is nobody in Nigeria today who does not agree that the current challenges that the government face stems from deep seated rot in the system which pervaded the entire nation prior to President Buhari’s assumption of power.
