They say that it takes 10,000 hours to become an expert in something. As such, I should have earned beyond a doctorate degree in the art of being single. Now, while I am far from an expert in anything, there are few things I’ve learned while being single that it seems some people overlook.

A lot of articles aimed at single women seek to show them how to snag a partner. That’s great (albeit, most of it’s completely ridiculous) but what are you supposed to do in the meantime? Rather than sit and wait for another person to start your life…do it yourself.
Based on my own experience, here’s a rough guideline that I try to follow:

I was Jogging this morning and I noticed a person about 1/2 a kilometre ahead. I could tell he was running a little slower than me and I thought, good, I shall try to catch him. I had about a kilometre before I needed to turn off. So I started running faster and faster.

What are you Sowing? And what do you intend to Reap

The reason I so like the verse in James is that it brings us a picture of what we must do to bring the harvest of righteousness about, we must sow the seeds of righteousness, seed by seed, so that our harvest will be plentiful. We must sow seeds daily---weekly--for our whole lives, that there will be remnants of His beauty, peace, redemption, everywhere we go, every day that we live.
