hope is lost, another who is down with an ailment and cries everyday of his
life for a miracle and feels he is not receiving an answer,

Stop firing your staff- FG tells Banks, Insurance companis, others

The Federal Government has appealed to banks and other companies to stop retrenchment of their staff in this period. This appeal is coming 24 hours after a commercial bank laid of 1040 of its staff. The Federal government's appeal is contained in a statement signed by the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige and released today June 3rd. The statement reads;

Ekiti Poly to jail students engaging in cultism, fraud
The Federal Polytechnic, Ado Ekiti, on Friday clarified that the era of just rusticating students found participating in cultism and other fraud related cases was over, saying any student caught in the acts would be prosecuted and sent to jail .
The Rector of the Polytechnic, Dr Taiwo Akande , who said this on Friday while administering oath on 3690 matriculating students of the institution , said the school would no longer condone any act of illegality, including cyber-crime, cultism and illegal sale of bed spaces by students.

Telecommunication companies to enjoy wider access -NCC
Telecommunication companies are to enjoy wider access berth in the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) new regulation strategy’s Over-the-Top (OTT) services.
The NCC quarterly magazine made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) said that the OTT’s regulation strategy was contained in a report issued by the commission’s Policy, Competition and Economic Analysis Department.
The report was titled: “An Overview of Provision of the Over-The- Top (OTT) Services’’.
Why we moved Fani-Kayode from Abuja to Lagos – EFCC
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has revealed the reason for the movement of a former Aviation Minister and spokesman of ex-President, Goodluck Jonathan campaign organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode, from Abuja to Lagos.
It would be recalled that the anti-graft agency arrested Fani-Kayode in Abuja, but later transferred him to Lagos, where it obtained a court warrant to remand him in custody for three weeks.
Doctors begin indefinite strike over salary in Nasarawa

Dr. Friday Omolei, Chairman of the state chapter of the Nigerian Medical Association and Secretary, Dr Peter Attah, said at a news briefing on Friday in Lafia.
400 now jobless in Botwana as KFC closes shop
International fast food outlet, Kentucky Fried Chicken has closed its franchise in Botswana rendering over 400 employees jobless.
This is contained in a statement that was issued on Friday, VPB Propco, the franchise of KFC in Botswana, which announced that it would cease operating by next week.
“Such a step is always for us, a final resort, and during the course of the last 12 months, we worked tirelessly to seek an alternative.
